Everybody Gather Around

Ok guys.  Let’s huddle up.  Feel free to take a knee.

Some of you have been following us longer than others.  A lot of you recently joined the group after reading about us on Mashable.  Regardless, you’re all ready for something that’s eluded us all for months now:

The SeenTh.at Launch

Well today, it shall be written and it shall be known that SeenTh.at will launch its closed/private BETA on March 19th, 2012.  On that day we’ll start releasing invites to approximately 200 users, with additional invites going out daily from there.

That might not be what some of you wanted to hear.  Trust me when I say we ALL want this thing sooner than later, but from the beginning we’ve promised that we’re going to do this right.  We want each of you to have a mind-blowing experience the first time you log in and start checking off movies, organizing your lists and discovering more films you simply must see.  In order to feel 100% confident that you’ll have the most fulfilling experience we can provide, we’ve proverbially pushed and shoved each other internally to decide on a launch date that satisfies both the urgency we feel to get this product in your hands, as well as the standard of quality we hold ourselves to.

So there it is.  Sitting right in front of you, less than a month away.  A site and an experience I can personally attest is SO EASY to get lost in.

In fact, here’s a little taste to hold you over:

Let’s get ready to have some fun.

I am so excited for this and I have been waiting for a long time just as every else has been. I’ve finally got around to reading the recently sent email we’ve all received and I was excited to here that the closed beta is less than a month way.

I am very excited and I hope to be one of the 200 or so participants of this beta.

The video you’ve posted is on private and I would like to see a video. Although from what John has stated on a comment, “…our staging URL was apparent…” and for that I highly understand the video being taken down.

For the most part I hope to see a fresh new video up.

Thanks SeenTh.at! You guys are amazing!

  11. Auston says:

    Looking forward to it!

  13. Julio says:

Looking forward for the invite! Question: Any plans on using the imdb.com API so we can import our movie list/ratings?

I’ve got over 1,000 movies listed and I’m sure many others do too…

    • John says:

Julio, we haven’t gone down that road yet, but it something we will look into right away. We want to do anything we can to make your transition more efficient.

  14. Lisah says:

I’ve added more movies to my library! I’m so stoked to get started on this website! It’s interesting about the ratings though (next blog post) because there a lot of movies that I absolutely love that critics totally ragged on! Can’t wait to see who has the same taste in movies as me! March 19th…14 days and counting! =)

Do Seenth.at have any page for Brands ? or can be created ? does you have any sort of follow button for sites ? Coz am looking to make your site as a social performer for my movie review website.

Got something to say? Go for it!
